We have some news regarding the release of the Nightmare Before Christmas Collection coming up this Friday, September 10. As special courtesy to all of our Vinylmation™ collectors, the D-Street locations at both the Disneyland® and Walt Disney World® Resorts will be opening at 8:00 a.m. We can’t wait to see everyone there! As a reminder, the limited edition Vinylmation™ Figures will be limited to two Figures, per style, per Guest, per day.

And now a quick update … for those Guests looking for the Vinylmation™ Toy Story series on the DisneyParks.com/Store today, we have a bit of unfortunate news that we just learned. The release of this series on-line has been delayed a week (darn that Lotso!!). It will now be released on September 15. We send our apologies for any confusion this may have caused

Cody Smith has returned from a final day at Trade City USA, today was the Vinylmation Showcase. Not only did we have the ultimate preview area, but also taking place was the Vinylmation Conversation, a 30-minute information presentation by Steven Miller of upcoming news and previews in the Vinylmation World.

The Vinylmation Visuals post on the Disney Parks Blog has let us onto several pieces of information.

• Space Mountain 35th Anniversary 9in Figure to be released this Friday, April 9th at D-Street
• There will be a Jack Skellington as Sandy Claws 9in Figure in the upcoming Nightmare Before Christmas set, coming out Fall 2010 (check out the picture on Vinylmation Visuals with Giant Chaser Mickey Figure, above the head is a picture)



• That same picture shows off several of Holiday Series #2 figures, St. Patrick’s Day Shamrocks, Jack-O-Lantern, and a Valentines themed figure



• Some artwork for window displays feature the Buzz Lightyear Space Ship and a Monstro inspired Vinylmation Figures (presumably in Park Series #5, as it features the Abominable Snowman)



• Mr. Toad Annual Passholder Release will be out sometime during Summer 2010
• Vinylmation.com will get an updated site within the next couple of days

We really enjoyed seeing so many Vinylmation fans at the recent “Conversation With…” held at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa on Wednesday. We hope everyone had a great time learning a little more about the world of Vinylmation. While driving back to Disney Theme Park Merchandise, Steven realized that he misspoke about an upcoming new “Open Edition” series called “Big Eyes.”

“Big Eyes” will feature a variety of Disney Characters in a window box. Originally, this series was planned as a Limited Release Set. But We loved the artwork so much, and we wanted Guests to have the ability to select their favorite Disney characters, so we made it an “Open Edition” series. During the conversation on Wednesday, Steven mentioned there was a “chaser” in this set. There was … but not any more. Look for this series coming soon.

As for the Vinylmation that randomly waltzed into the shot (look top above right) … no clue. Though we heard he is a Doctor.

The “hiding” Vinylmation in the background is Dr. Finklestein from the upcoming Nightmare Before Christmas collection if you were wondering. Pictures of other characters from the “Big Eyes” collection can be found HERE.
