Vinylmation Station featured artist Christopher Avalos shared with us a very cool carbonite custom last year and will be raising the stakes in 2011. We’re getting a first look at his work-in-progress “Carbonite 2.0″ custom today! This time around, you’ll be able to remove the provided figure and place any 3″ Vinylmation you would like (sans those with added pieces) into the Star Wars-themed prison. The images we are showcasing are just those of the master key which all molds will be cast from:
This piece will come complete with a stand when finished. Stay tuned for more information on this custom in the coming weeks! Feel free to discuss this upcoming custom Vinylmation on our forums.

Star Wars series 1 launched at midnight on January 14th, 2011, and The Vinylmation Station was on the scene! We take you to D Street at Walt Disney World’s Downtown Disney West Side to see all of the fun and festivities, and then grab an exclusive interview with Merchandise Communications Manager Steven Miller.

We start with two images that were posted on the Walt Disney World® Resort and Disneyland® Resort Facebook pages yesterday.
An upcoming open edition figure for the 40th Anniversary.
A 9-inch figure based on the Matterhorn from a future Vinylmation™ Park series. We stress “future.”
And now some new images that were again handpicked by Donald.
Of course Donald would select Donald Duck from the upcoming Vinylmation™ Nerds series.
A figure from Vinylmation™ – Cutesters #2 and
Janice from the upcoming Vinylmation™ – Muppets #2 series. Oh wow, like, fer sure.
Cases for the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4.
When we get to 3,500, we will post a preview that many of you have been “dying” to see.
And now a couple of release updates.
On November 12, the Vinylmation™ – Urban #5 Combo Pack will be released at D-Street in California and Florida.
On November 19, the next 9-inch figure designed by David Mitchell for the Vinylmation™ Holiday #2 series will be released at D-Street in California and Florida.
Finally on November 26, the Epcot® Holidays Around the World 2010 figure designed by Thomas Scott will be released at D-Street in California and the following Epcot® Locations: Gateway Gifts, ImageWorks, Club Cool, MouseGear, Art of Disney, Port of Entry, Disney Traders, World Traveler, and Heritage Manor.
