Vinylmation Station featured artist Christopher Avalos shared with us a very cool carbonite custom last year and will be raising the stakes in 2011. We’re getting a first look at his work-in-progress “Carbonite 2.0″ custom today! This time around, you’ll be able to remove the provided figure and place any 3″ Vinylmation you would like (sans those with added pieces) into the Star Wars-themed prison. The images we are showcasing are just those of the master key which all molds will be cast from:

“Once there were three young ducks who wanted their uncle to buy them the latest video game console with motion sensing technology. Since he was a thrifty duck, the uncle tried to build them his own game console instead. To his surprise, not only did his homemade creation scan his movements, it scanned him right into the digital world where he became Tronald! While his three nephews were disappointed not to get the console they wanted, they sure had fun putting Tronald through all kinds of video game trials on the Game Grid!”

This 3″ Vinylmation figure was created by Brian Shapiro to accompany Winnie the Clooh to celebrate the release of TRON: Legacy.

Unfortunately, the honey spilled from the pot, causing the computer to go haywire and digitize the bear. Now, trapped in the Hundred Acre Grid, Winnie the Clooh is desperate to escape back to his home!”

We had the opportunity to see the Main Street Elecrical Parade last night at Magic Kingdom® Park. How “electrosynthamagnetically” awesome it was to see it again! Some Guests may have heard about the new Create Your Own Vinylmation figure that is being released within the week at Disneyland® Resort (don’t worry Florida and on-line fans, it is coming soon).

With the debut of the World of Color, it seemed fitting to have the new Glow-in-the-Dark Vinylmation® Figure released in California first. There will be a 9″ and a 3″ version of the figure as seen below.

Some of you may be wondering – does it really glow in the dark? Yes – it really does. Here is the 3″ Figure glowing with the lights out. Sweet! Though we kind of feel we are seeing a ghost.
