The 12th design for the Big Eyes series that was released today is classic Mickey Mouse!!! The entire series is now available at D Street at both the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts.

We have a revision to our special annoucement today. We will be releasing the Big Eyes collection at D-Street at Disneyland® Resort and Walt Disney World® Resort tomorrow. So everyone who is attending the release of the Sci-Fi Dine In Park #4 Figure at D-Street at either resort will have a chance to collect this great series.

A little trivia about this series, it was originally designed to be a blind box series (similar to the Park or Urban series). We decided since so many of our Guests have a specific character that is their special favorite, that we would make it into an open window box (similar to Sports and Oh Mickey!). There is still one surprise remaining as the figure which was to be the original “chaser” has yet to be revealed. While our Disneyland® Resort Guests will get to see the figure in person on Friday, we’re not going to leave our website visitors out and we will post the image of the figure on May 14 at 8:00 am Pacific (when D-Street opens at Disneyland® Resort).

Big Eyes will be released in additional locations soon beginning next week.

We have updated our upcoming series galleries with all but one of the soon to be released Big Eyes Series. Even though it is an Open Edition, windowed set, the final figure will not be announced until when they are released. On the Home Page, it features information about the Grand Opening of D-Street this Friday, April 16th.

Join us for the Grand Opening of D-Street at Downtown Disney® WestSide in Florida on Friday, April 16 starting at 9:30 a.m.

As part of the festivities will be a special artist signing with many Vinylmation™ artists. The signing will take place across from D-Street from 2 pm – 4 pm.

The site has also updated its Vinylmation Figure Vault and Sneak sections of the site to feature the latest releases including Oh Mickey, Sports and Vinylmation Jr. #1. In the Sneak section features previews of the Big Eyes, and Nightmare Series.

We really enjoyed seeing so many Vinylmation fans at the recent “Conversation With…” held at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa on Wednesday. We hope everyone had a great time learning a little more about the world of Vinylmation. While driving back to Disney Theme Park Merchandise, Steven realized that he misspoke about an upcoming new “Open Edition” series called “Big Eyes.”

“Big Eyes” will feature a variety of Disney Characters in a window box. Originally, this series was planned as a Limited Release Set. But We loved the artwork so much, and we wanted Guests to have the ability to select their favorite Disney characters, so we made it an “Open Edition” series. During the conversation on Wednesday, Steven mentioned there was a “chaser” in this set. There was … but not any more. Look for this series coming soon.

As for the Vinylmation that randomly waltzed into the shot (look top above right) … no clue. Though we heard he is a Doctor.

The “hiding” Vinylmation in the background is Dr. Finklestein from the upcoming Nightmare Before Christmas collection if you were wondering. Pictures of other characters from the “Big Eyes” collection can be found HERE.
